Comments

1837 Liberty - Not One Cent AU55 NGC. Low-27, HT-41, R.7. Though this Hard Times type is plentiful, the present specific die pair, HT-41, is very rare. It is distinguished by two six-pointed stars on the reverse. It is thought to be one of the "fantasy" hard times tokens made in the late 19th century by an unknown person from new dies made with motifs used in the 1830s. Today the fantasy tokens are appreciated as rarities and highly sought after.
