The 2005 Remembrance 50c coin shown above was released by the RAM into general circulation. It commemorates the 60th Anniversary of World War II and invites us to remember the sacrifices made by our troops in those times. The RAM also released other similar themed issues during the year, a one dollar coin for Peace and a 20 cent Coming Home coin, all fitting accompaniments to this issue.

There are several known errors of this coin - CUD on the top of the solder's helmet, and the second left figure can have a CUD on the left foot.

All three coins were also included in the 2005 Proof & Baby Koala Proof Sets.

They were also included in the 2005 Uncirculated and Baby Koala Uncirculated Sets.

They were also included in the 2005 Wedding Specimen Set.

The 50 cent coin by itself was also issued by Australia Post in a Baby Keepsake Card.

All three of the above mentioned coins were also issued in the 2005 Fine Silver (.999) Proof Set
