Modern 1975 gold restrike of the famous historic "Mainzer Friedenstaler" from 1679. The original coin was issued by Prince-Archbishop Anselm Franz von Ingelheim to celebrate the Peace of Nijmegen. This 1975 edition was minted in traditional ducat gold (.986) by B.H. Mayer in Pforzheim for commercial collector series in Germany.
