Bundi was a state in Rajputana in northwest India, founded in 1342CE by Rao Dewa (Deoraji), a Chauhan Rajput. Bundi was harassed by the kingdoms of Holkar and Scindhia, and was finally defeated by the Marathas in early 19th century. In 1818 it became a British protectorate and remained so till 1948 when it was absorbed into the State of Rajasthan.
Raghubir Singhji (21 September 1869 – 26 July 1927) was the 26th ruler of Bundi, from 1889 till his death in 1927.
