The Royal Navy HMS Victory is a 104-gun first rate wooden sailing ship of the line. She was laid down in 1759 and is famously the world oldest naval vessel still in commission, being in continuous service with the Royal Navy for 247 years. HMS Victory was the flagship for Vice Admiral Horatio Nelson during the 1805 Battle of Trafalgar where the British fleet defeated the combined fleets of the French and Spanish navies. The ship is currently maintained as a museum ship at Portsmouth England and is the flagship of the First Sea Lord of United Kingdom.

The Rwanda 2025 HMS Victory silver coin is the ninth issue of the Nautical series minted by BH Mayer. As with previous coins, the coin is sealed in a individual mint plastic sleeve with the logo of the National Bank of Rwanda stamped above. Coins are typically issued in sheets of ten.
