Joey Dunlop, a legendary figure in motorcycle racing, is best known for his extraordinary success at the Isle of Man TT Races. In 2000, already cemented as a TT icon, he delivered a performance that remains one of the most unforgettable in the event’s history. Riding a factory Honda SP1 in the Formula 1 TT, he defied expectations to take a stunning victory and then went on to complete a remarkable hat-trick with wins in the 250cc and 125cc races. His 26th and final TT win that year marked the close of a truly exceptional career. Though his record has since been surpassed, Joey’s legacy continues to inspire generations of riders and fans alike.
To mark 25 years since Joey’s final TT appearance, a special commemorative coin is being released as part of the 2025 Classic TT celebrations. The event will pay tribute to his Incredible achievements and enduring impact on the sport.
