Unabridged legend: Malik Al 'Adil tarikh kepada bulan Rejab sanat 1295
Translation: The Just King, dated in the month of Rajab in the year 1295
These pieces are variously known as Tampang, Tin Hat, Pyramid or Pagoda money, although the last two names are more common in Perak. They were an early form of currency with a value that was calculated against the amount of tin by weight which could be exchanged for one Spanish Silver dollar.
