Non-issued banknote.
The fourth of five attempts to produce banknotes in the workshops of the Bank of Spain itself, all of them unsuccessful, between 1907 and 1925. It bears the date of the kings' visit to the building, and it appears to have been made in haste. They lack a watermark and numbering, and were never released for circulation.
The banknote shown in the pictures on this page was auctioned by Aureo & Calicó and was awarded for a value of €20,000 (Auction 320 dated November 8, 2018 and Lot 1222).
