Comments
On the death of Idriss II, the eldest son Muhammad succeeded him. On the advice of his grandmother Kanza, he shared the kingdom with his older brothers, keeping Fez himself. His brother Isa was given Wazeqqur and its region with important silver mines. His numerous mints thanks to the production of these mines recognize the primacy of Fez (see Essay on Moroccan Coins by Yvon Méreaux - Casablanca 2014). The coin was from his collection and is shown on page 41 of the book.
