When, in 2008, no new, motivated board members could be found to continue the organization of the only Limburg coin club affiliated with the EGMP, it was decided to transform it into a non-profit organization with a different objective. This non-profit organization, the Limburg Numismatics Commission (LCN), aims to promote numismatics primarily by providing new basic information to collectors through the publication of numismatic publications.

The LCN ceased its operations in 2025.
