Obverse
The obverse of the coin features a half-profile representation of a Hungarian Greyhound (Magyar Agár). The central motif captures the breed's characteristics and temperament: its fierce, remarkably persevering, and purposeful nature, paired with immense presence of mind. It radiates strength and elegance. The obverse also features the mandatory design elements of coins: the inscription ‘MAGYARORSZÁG’ in the upper semi-circular legend, the mint mark ‘BP.’ and the year of minting ‘2021’ in two lines on the right, and the denomination ‘2000 FORINT’ at the bottom, also broken into two lines.

Reverse
The reverse of the commemorative coin depicts two Hungarian Greyhounds chasing game across a grassy Puszta during a hunt. The depiction effectively illustrates the breed's ground-covering movement and its enduring gallop, which can reach speeds of up to 60 km/h. The scene is completed by the figure of a mounted hunter in the background, observing the chase. The inscription ‘MAGYAR AGÁR’ is visible in the upper semi-circular legend, while the master mark of the designer, metalwork and industrial artist Boglárka Imrei, is located at the bottom right, integrated into the representation of the grassy Puszta.
