In ancient Greece, a "sacred truce" suspended all hostilities so that warriors could compete in Olympia. At the much larger modern Games, athletes come from all over the world to compete in a climate of peace, equality and fair play. Embodying the finest virtues - tolerance, respect, friendship - they exalt ideals that inspire and unite humanity.
Citius, altius, fortius (Faster, higher, stronger)
This is the motto of the Olympic movement, which encourages the athlete in all of us to surpass ourselves and to see this effort as a victory in itself.
Canada has hosted the Olympic Winter Games just once, in Calgary, Alberta, in 1988. In 2010, we are proud to host them again, this time in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Each piece is encapsulated, accompanied by a numbered certificate and delivered in a black presentation box, protected by a special Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games themed sleeve.
