This type with dressed bust has only one vintage, and was minted in Mannheim without a mint letter, which was the capital of the electorate from 1720.
Classic type with nude bust: N# 47197
The dignity of dapifer still exists today in Germany, and was held by the Elector Palatine until 1623, when the Elector of Bavaria assumed the title of arch-dapifer of the empire; his office is to carry the first courses to the Emperor's table on horseback at his coronation.
