The word "France" is inscribed in French on the 2008 lapel.
Since 1978, Le Puy du Fou has been home to La Cinéscénie, a night-time show run by volunteers, retracing the history of the Vendée through scenes from the daily life of a line of peasants from the Middle Ages to the 20th century, and presenting a mythical vision of the social consensus that, according to the park's directors, would have characterized the historic Vendée.
