Comments

With the logo 🍁 of the war of 1812 where we normally find the mint letter and the composition mark.

The War of 1812 was a fundamental turning point in Canada’s history: it profoundly influenced Canada’s sense of identify and united French- and English-speaking inhabitants, Indigenous communities, farmers, soldiers, artisans and others in an effort to preserve their ways of life from American invasion.

Two-hundred years ago, the HMS Shannon celebrated victory on the high seas against the USS Chesapeake. This intricate and elegantly designed 1 oz platinum coin commemorates the historic battle that still remains a formative event in Canadian history.

Packaging
Your coin is encapsulated and presented in a Royal Canadian Mint branded maroon clamshell case lined with flock and protected by a black sleeve.

This coin is an attractive collectible for numismatists; marine, naval and military enthusiasts; and lovers of Canadian history alike.
