Comments
The first flat coin of Thailand, which Rama III intended to replace the cowries. He employed Robert Hunter, a Scottish merchant, to make pattern coins. However, the king did not approve any of pattern coins, as the elephant intimates Lanka's coins, being an inappropriate symbol for Siam's coins. These pattern coins never been denominated.
